A very dear couple that I love very much is in serious need of prayer and assistance. Their names are Cora and Jewel Robbins. Jewel has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it has spread to several vital organs. Please pray for a miracle for Jewel and strength and encouragement for both Jewel and Cora and the rest of the family. With God all things are possible. Cora was a very dear friend of my mother’s until my mom’s passing and has become like a mother to me during these past 13 years. Jewel is like a second father and is so very much like my dad. They are raising 3 grandchildren, two of which are teenage girls. They have already raised one granddaughter into a beautiful Godly young woman. Their two teenage girls are serving God in many ways as well including praise singing at church, participating in outreach ministry, and helping with the children’s ministry. The youngest grandchild they are raising is a precious young man who has started seeking after God as well. Jewel has always worked hard to provide for his family but they have always struggled financially. Jewel and Cora will be celebrating their 43rd anniversary in November. This will be there last anniversary unless God performs a miracle. Their children and grandchildren are planning a surprise anniversary party and a couple of days get-away to Mountain View. Their granddaughter is making most of the plans but because her and her husband are college students they are in need of some assistance in order to make this the best anniversary ever. She has no idea that I am doing this and would love to be able to surprise her, Jewel, and Cora with some financial assistance. Also, Jewel and Cora have to travel from Greenbrier to Little Rock for Jewel’s appointments and medicine. With the price of gas so high, this really puts a strain on their finances. I am going to be setting up a fund for them at a Conway, AR bank in order to off-set some of the costs of the medical treatments and also to help make Jewels last few months as wonderful as possible.
